Patient Participation Group

Here at Milestone Surgery there are approximately 11,200 patients and we are looking for representatives from these patients, to join our Patient Participation Group (PPG). The PPG is currently made up of a few volunteers who have regular informal meetings with the Practice Management to provide a useful two-way communication stream between the staff and the Group.

Our aim is to give feedback on patient needs and concerns, as well as network with appropriate patient groups to share experiences and improve services. We would like to encourage participation to insure that patient information and advice is readily available and clearly presented through the Surgery website and our Newsletter. The PPG also try to raise awareness and access to other support agencies. We would like to support Health promotion, including advice on the educational needs of the community; as well as identify opportunities to improve the patient experience. We try to raise funds for a TV in the waiting room and to enable the PPG to become self-sufficient. Click here for our Terms of Reference.

We are interested in incorporating your ideas into making Milestone Surgery work best for you. So if you wish to have a say and become involved, then contact the group at:; but please note this email is answered by volunteers in this group, and is not received within the practice itself, so cannot be used for complaints, prescription requests or other surgery queries.
