EMERGENCIES

24 hour care
bulletMilestone Surgery is open from 8.30am until 6.30pm weekdays, including lunchtimes
bulletWeekends and nights.  If you are  a patient of the practice and in urgent need of medical advice or assistance please ring the surgery telephone number.  You will be given the appropriate number of the doctor on call.

Alternatively you may call NHS Direct and speak to a nurse who can give you appropriate advice - the number to ring is : 0845 46 47

Emergency cover out of hours is provided by Frimley Primary Care Service, commissioned by the Primary Care Trust and manned by  local GPs and nurse practitioners. In common with other agencies such as the 999 service all telephone conversations are now recorded. Confidentiality is still respected, and such calls would only be reviewed should a query arise.

Frimley Primary Care Service is available for people who are feeling unwell and are not able to see a doctor because their surgery is closed.

If you require urgent medical treatment and feel you cannot wait until your surgery is open, please phone our call centre on

0118 936 5649

If your home telephone number does not accept calls from withheld numbers we will have problems in calling you back.

The service is only for urgent medical treatment i.e. for patients who are, or believe themselves to be, acutely ill or have serious concerns about their health which cannot wait until their own surgery re-opens. Health matters of a routine nature are best dealt with by the health team at your own GP surgery.

If you are in need of help please be prepared to give an account of your problem over the telephone.  The doctor will make an assessment based on what information he or she is given.  A visit may not be necessary, and you make be asked to attend either the Frimley Park base surgery or else Milestone Surgery.  Sometimes advice is all that is required.

Please remember only to ring if it is an emergency.  The doctors continue to have their daytime work before and after the out of hours sessions.

bulletFrimley Park Hospital - Accident and Emergency

Should the problem involve an accident where a bone is broken or stitches required it may be more appropriate to go straight to our local A & E (Casualty).  This is on Portsmouth Road in Camberley.  From Farnborough drive north towards Camberley and the hospital is well-signposted.  The phone number is 01276 604604.

bulletSevere Chest Pain or Haemorrhage

Sudden onset of severe chest pain, or heavy loss of blood from any site usually require urgent hospital treatment.  Rather than waiting for a GP, who may be engaged in a busy surgery, ring 999 for an ambulance.
